This is a study undertaken by Vasudha Foundation in partnership with Heinrich Boll Foundation to map the policies of all the states of India with specific focus on the sectors of Energy and Electricity, Urban Planning and Transport, Industry and water, from a climate mitigation lens.  The study being done in three phases over a period of three years will come up with the following:

1. A ready reckoner of good policies and implementation practices
2. Ranking of states in terms of having the best emission reduction trajectory as a co-benefit
3. Developing a Climate Index for pan-India, based on state and national policies

As the project completes two years, watch this space for an update – a draft of the report covering a few of the states, where the study has been completed.
