Vasudha Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation working in the clean energy and climate policy space. Vasudha Foundation has a FCRA registration with the FCRA Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs and also has as 12A and 80G registration under the income tax act.

Vasudha Foundation works on multiple projects, funded by various philanthropic organisations.

The organisation is looking for a mid-level IT Specialist/Full Stack Developer.

This is a new position created in the Foundation and the key roles and responsibilities of the IT Specialist/Full Stack Developer is for ensuring the creation and development of a IT Department in the Foundation in the medium period, while in the short run period, is responsible for developing and designing, maintaining and updating the various web dashboards that the organisation has created and also to create new applications for seamless functioning of various verticals of the organisation, such as the Finance, HR, Power Sector and Climate. In short, we are looking for a highly skilled computer programmer who has the expertise on both the front end as well as back-end programming.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The broad roles and responsibilities envisaged for this role and not limited to this are as follows:

1. Provide IT support for efficient office/finance management
2. Provide IT support for the climate and energy and power sector programme teams
3. Build an IT team for Vasudha Foundation

Specifically, the roles and responsibilities are as below and not limited to these:

A. Assess and develop applications and software requirements for office/finance/HR management for efficient and seamless functioning of the organisation. This could entail the following:

• Develop user friendly applications and software for tracking financial flows, fund flows, project finance management amongst others
• Develop user friendly applications/software for smooth functioning of the HR team, such as leave tracker of personnel, amongst others.
• Any other requirement/s that could be possible for seamless and efficient organisation functioning.
• Managing, updating and where required revamp the Vasudha Foundation web portal.
• Create systems for data management/data warehousing et al.

B. Assess and develop applications for programme team: This could entail the following and not limited to those.

• Vasudha Foundation has a number of web-based dashboards that are currently being managed by external vendors. Hence, one of the key requirements here is to manage some of the functions in-house, that are currently being outsourced. This would include amongst others, data updates, interface additions/modifications on the various dashboards at regular intervals.
• Create and develop APIs for our partner organisation for seamless flow of data from their end.
• Manage and coordinate with our external agency/s on the development of the dashboards
• Designing user interactions on our web sites and dashboards.
• Developing customised applications for the energy and climate programme of Vasudha Foundation
• Creating servers and databases for functionality.

Qualification and Experience:

• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with experience in programming.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in web development
• Proven experience in Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in front-end languages such as HTML, Bootstrap, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery.
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS, React, Amber
• Proficiency with server-side languages such as Python, Ruby on Rails, Java and .Net.
• Familiarity with database technology as MySQL, MongoDB, Postgre SQL
• Familiarity with Git or Bitbucket is Preferred
• Familiarity with Web Services, Spring Boot , Mybatis, Hibernate, experience with microservices is preferred.
• Experience in designing applications/websites using Open-source technologies across web & mobility.
