Project Brief

The Madhya Pradesh EV Policy 2025 was revamped through key ecosystem insights and technical assessments that informed the policy’s development as part of Vasudha’s Phase-1 engagement with the State EV nodal department. Phase II now focuses on translating these directives into action through implementation support through development of operational guidelines and technical assistance on the novel areas outlined in the policy document that lack implementation precedence in the State. Vasudha Foundation is engaged as the official knowledge partner to advance all facets of the electric mobility ecosystem in the State.

Purpose of the Role

• Support Vasudha Foundation’s work in Madhya Pradesh that includes but is not limited to research and analysis of policies and regulatory issues in the electric mobility sector.
• Coordinate with the State nodal agency and function as Vasudha Foundation’s point person in implementing the project based in Bhopal.
• Take ownership of activities and independently handle requirements from the nodal department related to the scope of work with Vasudha Foundation. 
• Ensure systematic capture of data about progress for internal reporting purposes 

Research and Writing

• Understand and keep tabs on electric mobility-related regulations and State-level EV policies
• Analyse large and high-frequency datasets to draw useful insights for the team and other stakeholders
• Assist in the stakeholder engagement strategy, identifying and prioritizing key external stakeholders like government representatives, NGOs, consumer associations, knowledge partners, etc.
• Undertake Intra-State travel to conduct interviews, collect data, and other engagements as required by the project.
• Generate knowledge content through blogs and policy briefs and prepare presentations, fact sheets, and other research communication material

Networking

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key project stakeholders including Government Departments/ Ministries/Agencies, local administration, CSOs, NGOs, and academia, as per project requirements
• Regular interaction with key stakeholders (including industry and community) directly or indirectly for data collection

Meetings & Conferences

• Coordinating with Vasudha’s headquarters and local stakeholders to organize meetings and conferences as per project requirement.
• Participate and create meeting briefs, press releases, etc.
• Provide support in stakeholder engagement through field visits, community engagement, and focus group discussions.

Applicant Profile

• Work Experience: 3 – 6 years
• Professional Background: Master’s in Economics/Public Policy/Environmental Sciences with relevant experience in the electric mobility/energy/climate/sustainable development domain
• Candidate must be able to work well in a team and have good communication skills
• Candidate must have good analytical skills (experience with techno-economic analysis) and data handling capability.

• Gross compensation budgeted for the position is attractive. Please note that the offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
